Bermudas architecture can probably be best described as Vernacular, which translates to architecture without architects. This arises due to the combinaton of weather, geology, the socio-economics of the cosmoplotion community and local materials available. The picturesque appeal is created by its appropriateness to the landscape which is why there are government regulations in place to safe guard this. Fortifications, churches and lighthouses are an integral part to this glorious architecture which we have extensive access to.
